Verified ReviewerThis is a total scam.
- - Joined Sundance Vacations in 2022.
- - Booking blocked by dates and locations unavailable.
- - Contract can change trips; no exit.
- - No clear way to join a class action.
We joined Sundance Vacations in November of 2022. We have never been able to book a trip because the dates and preferred locations are never available.
They intentionally take on more clients than they can accommodate but they get to keep our money. The contract can be altered in terms of the number of trips you're paying for but there is no way out of it.
I haven't been able to find a way to join the class action suit. HELP!
User's recommendation: AVOID SUNDANCE VACATIONS!!!!!

Not worth the money.
Hey changed the website and you can not get in to me available rentals. Or what's available anywhere like you used to.
Because they have very few properties anymore.
The have to tell you oh we have new ones co.ing out this week but never the same places every year. How do they get away with scamming for so many years?v
Ripped off
- - The reviewer says free vacations lure customers.
- - They claim pressure to sign contracts that aren’t explained and you may not get the vacations.
Place is a scam and uses free vacations to sucker you in then pressure you into signing a contract that they dont even go over with you if you get a call from these goons just hang up and save yourself from the financial hardship they have put me through. Youll never go on one of their vacations anyway.
User's recommendation: Stay away at all costs
SCAM ALERT
- - Prices shown at the presentation were not accurate.
- - A new contract was created without my consent.
- - It appears on my credit report and I never traveled.
The Presentation was all lies, Tried to book a trip several times and prices that were giving at the time of presentation was not true at all. I called to complain and tried to cancel and was told I couldn't but they would shorten my weeks.
My contract was closed & a new contract was created without my consent or signature. Also showed up on credit report.
I'm out of my money and never took a trip. Please do not purchase anything from them not even bottle water, that's probably fake too.

Verified Reviewer |It is a scam and ripoff
- - Package cost more than quoted; there was an interest overcharge.
- - No hotel available for the promised free vacation; late fees charged.
I was deceived in the Vacation Package that I purchased, first the cost was more than what was quoted in the meeting, second, I have an overcharge on the interest, third No matter what date I choose there is no Hotel available for the free vacation that I was told that I had won, but I could pay extra and not use the "Free Vacation".
Also, I keep getting an additional late fee payment Charge, yet, I was told that I will be to pick my payment date.
- Presentation
- Not truthful with answering questions during presentation
- Misleading about the financing company
- Lied to me about the free trip
Preferred solution: Price reduction

Complaint
- - Joined Tan Vacations after a sales pitch for 10 free vacations.
- - Not used in 10+ years; moved to Sunshine without consent; $35/mo; limited openings.
I joined tan vacations after a couple hour sales pitch. We wanted out of the pressure room so we surcome to a deal to get 10 "free" 1 week vacations.
It cost me several thousand dollars. I have been paying a $35 monthly maintenance fee. We have not taken even 1 of the 10 vacation in over 10 years. On top of it all they transfered our membership to sunshine without our consent.
Sunshine has a very limited offering compared to tan. There never appear to be any open for place we would to go.
This has been and continues to be the worst investment I have ever made. Sign me up for reimbursement.
Contacted Won Free Vacation
As soon as they were pushing me to go to their office ASAP, I knew the deal. They sweet talked me in between giving me the low down and directions and so on, trying to get me to comply. Complete BS.
User's recommendation: nothing is for free. there's always a catch.

I WANT OUT
- - Sales pressured us to sign Sundance vacation contract after we asked to think.
- - Deal would be off if we didn't sign today.
- - Info sheet was ripped.
I guess you know why Im here cause I am not the one to write reviews. Im a broke fresh out of college student loan debt person and I had the nerve to let a human being pressure me into signing a contract with Sundance vacation.
Me and my friend were there for 5 hours going back and forth with the sales people. I kept reminding the lady that Im broke right now and have student loan to repay. Then I asked if we could go home and think it over, I am not making this up yall. The lady got so mad and ripped the info sheet, told us that the deal will be off the table if we dont sign today.
God gave plenty of signs and I chose to ignore them.
Nevertheless My friend and I fell for it and were kinda forced to sign the contract. Ive never felt so stupid in my entire life.
- Big scam
Preferred solution: Let me go
User's recommendation: DONT DO IT. DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU
$12,000 loss and I could never book a vacation!

Travel Agencies Expert Talks
Reading reviews
- - Timeshares require payment but offer no ownership.
- - They push hard, like MLM schemes.
- - Do not sign without reading; you are in charge.
take my advice.
the people who run these things at the locations have no legal choice but to give you what they are offering to give you for just showing up or listening to their "presentation". anything else they want you to do is how they make their money.
these are time shares in which you pay money but dont actually own anything or have any say in how that property is ran. they are basically just multi level marketing or pyramid scheme scams.
DO NOT sign ANYTHING without reading it and if they have a problem with that get up and walk away.
remember that YOU are in charge not them. they will be extremely pushy into getting you to sign for a "dream vacation" but you DO NOT have to, to collect the prize or thing they were offering to give you.
Preferred solution: none is needed
User's recommendation: do your research and be informed.
Not Satisfied
- - I request a full refund and to stop future payments.
- - I have not found a place to stay after searching locations and this is not what was promised.
I am requesting all of our money be refunded and to stop future payments. I have yet to find a place to stay, and we have searched many locations.
This is not what we were promised. I am very dissatisfied.
